A PLACE TO CONNECT WITH SOMEONE THAT WILL CARE

In prison, where inmates are sometimes locked down for 23 hours a day, MAIL CALL can be the highlight of the day.  Hearing your name and getting a piece of news from the outside world is a treasured event.  It's been said that  "incarceration is similar to passing away: for the first year of so, everyone mourns you, but eventually they move on with their lives" .  Some have not had mail in months, even years and a letter from you could make a difference in the way the inmate views life.

Men and Women locked in prison are lonely and make loyal, steady pen pals to which you can share your life with, and they are willing and excited to share what you might be surprised to find is a deep, insight into the problems of life.  This is a person that knows how to handle adversity.

OUR GOAL
We want to put lonely people in touch with one another in an effort to make the world a better place!  Do we condone the crimes for which these men and women have committed?  NO!  Each was convicted by a jury of their peers and therefore must serve their time behind bars.  Penned In, the lofty goal of America's Incarceration system is to rehabilitate the inmate.  But does it really work?  We think not.  What works is letting the inmate know that there are people willing to care, to see the person behind the crime, understand the changes that have been made in their life and to give them home for what can happen when they are released.

THAT IS THE GOAL AND MISSION OF OUR SITE.
